Mason Greenwood, a forward for Manchester United, is reportedly “slim to none” in his chances of returning to Old Trafford, according to claims from GIVEMESPORT.

This evaluation is made in spite of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the chairman of INEOS, making an unclear remark about Greenwood’s future.

There had been talk of Greenwood’s possible comeback after Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who currently manages football operations at Manchester United, took a minority stake in the team recently.

However, in an August 2023 statement, the club had already alluded to Greenwood’s termination from the team. Ratcliffe’s remarks, however, implied a reassessment of Greenwood’s circumstances and implied that a judgment had not yet been made.

Man United must now make a big choice as they consider Mason Greenwood’s complicated future with the team. Manchester United suspended the 22-year-old in January 2022 after he was accused of assault including pictures and videos.

The club hinted at Greenwood’s exit in August 2023, which resulted in a season-long loan move to Getafe, even though the accusations were withdrawn in February 2023 due to the withdrawal of key witnesses and the discovery of new information.

With the recent acquisition of INEOS, Ratcliffe raised doubts over Greenwood’s future by alluded to a possible review of his standing at Manchester United.

In the upcoming weeks, United hopes to generate interest in Greenwood’s services and will attempt to secure a fee of £40 million for his services during the summer transfer window of 2024. With 13 goal contributions in his Getafe career, the forward has drawn interest from other teams. Prior to the summer, Greenwood is reportedly being pursued by Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
