Vinicius Junior expressed his sadness at Kyle Walker’s injury-related substitution during England’s Saturday night loss to Brazil.

At Wembley, Walker was substituted after just 20 minutes as Endrick’s goal in the second half guaranteed Brazil’s victory.

In just over two weeks, Vinicius Jr. and Walker will square off once more when Real Madrid hosts Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal match.

The Brazilian winger also claims that Walker is the best defender in the world, and he is always eager to put himself to the test against him.

“Ah, it’s all very sad,” Vinicius Jr. said following the game in response to a question on Walker being forced off during the first half at Wembley.

“It is heartbreaking for all of us on the field when a player gets hurt and has to leave the field,” said the athlete.

“Walker is the best defender I’ve ever faced, and it’s always a very good duel. We want to play against the best.”

At 17 years and 246 days old, Endrick became the youngest male player to score an international goal at Wembley. Vinicius Jr. also offered counsel to him.
