In the race to sign Dani Olmo, Manchester United is expected to challenge both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

With just 15 games played for Red Bull Leipzig this season, the 25-year-old has not had the best season for the Bundesliga team.

To be fair, though, Olmo has experienced both knee and joint problems this season, despite which he has still managed to produce three goals and four assists overall.

The adaptable winger can play as an offensive midfielder as well as on the right and left wings.

The forward has previously been linked to a move to Old Trafford. He will most certainly play a significant part in Spain’s campaign for Euro 2024.

The Peoples Person reported in January 2023 that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were vying for the player’s signature, and that United had been keeping an eye on him.

Despite the obvious interest from objectively larger clubs, Olmo seemed unwilling to commit to a new contract until he signed a contract in June of last year to continue at Leipzig until 2027.

After years of whispering, Fichajes has rekindled the rumour that the Spaniard may be on his way to ultimately transfer to Spain or England.

Olmo is well-liked in the Camp Nou hallways because it seems that the player has caused Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, to “fall in love.” According to the newspaper, he would be eager to make the move and has already represented the club at the youth level.

But the Catalan giant’s unstable financial position always puts pressure on them, and Fichajes claims that other teams, including United, may be waiting to seize an opportunity.

“Yet, Dani Olmo has drawn interest from a number of prominent teams, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Manchester City. These teams may also be closely monitoring Olmo’s situation, as he is an appealing target for multiple teams, which could lead to fierce competition for his signature during the upcoming transfer window,” the outlet reports.

The player would provide expertise from competing on a global and European scale to the Red Devils, who are a squad lacking in wing depth and facing the loss of Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho, and Anthony Martial this summer.

It is not unfair to think that INEOS is searching throughout Europe for reasonably priced wing depth, which Olmo would undoubtedly offer, given that despite Antony and Amad Diallo’s heroics against Liverpool, their futures at the club are also seriously in doubt.
