Amad Diallo Breaks Silence: Reveals Reason Behind Deleting All Manchester United References from Social Media

Amad Diallo urged people to “stop the hate” and gave an explanation for why he removed all Manchester United-related content from his social media sites.

The Ivorian raised eyebrows on Monday when he removed any mention of the Red Devils from his X, Twitter, and Instagram accounts.

Purging occurs in the midst of the 21-year-old’s dissatisfaction at his supporting role under Erik ten Hag.Diallo was anticipated to make an impression on the Dutchman following a successful Championship loan with Sunderland last season, during which he scored 14 goals and provided four assists. 

The winger has only made three appearances so far this season, all as substitutes. After recuperating from a December preseason knee injury, two of them made their Premier League debuts in 46 minutes.

He now provides a succinct statement outlining his social media purge.

To defuse the situation, Diallo posted on Snapchat, saying, “I’ve disabled my social media for a month to concentrate on Ramadan.”

Give off the hate; I did nothing improper. For me, this is a holy month, yet there are awful things on social media to view while fasting.

On Snapchat, Diallo claimed that the real reason for the deactivation was Ramadan.

On Saturday, Diallo did not enter the game as Alejandro Garnacho, a fellow winger, won two penalties that Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored to give United a much-needed 2-0 Premier League victory over Everton.

He hopes to play on Sunday against Liverpool in an exciting FA Cup quarterfinal.
