Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jude Bellingham, and Alessia Russo were involved in the creation of the next version of the iconic Adidas Predator boot.

The latest design’s “DNA” is heavily impacted by the legacies of David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane, who were instrumental in popularising the boot in the 1990s and 2000s, according to Mahsa Aryan, category director for football footwear at Adidas.

While Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool joined Adidas’ athlete roster late last year, Bellingham has been wearing Predators during his quick rise to superstardom at Real Madrid.

Both England internationals and Arsenal women’s standout Russo contributed to the Predator 24’s design during what Aryan described as a “very intimate” working relationship.

“I think our success over the years has been due to our unwavering loyalty to our professional players,” Aryan told Stats Perform.

Nevertheless, Aryan emphasized Adidas’s strong desire to maintain ties to the past, citing Zidane as a vital figure in that regard.

“But we have also maintained and stayed connected to our previous icons,” she continued: “Therefore, I had the pleasure of having a lengthy conversation with Zidane about the Predator 24 and its future, and gleaning a great deal of his insight, not only from the standpoint of an iconic player from the past, but also regarding how he currently perceives the game.”
