In Sunday’s derby at the Etihad Stadium between Manchester City and cross-town rivals United, Phil Foden struck an incredible goal to tie the score, leaving the visitors furious.
In the 56th minute, Foden emerged to make an amazing finish on the edge of the box, capping a half-hour of chances wasted by City.

Rashford takes a tumble to the ground as Kyle Walker tries to win possession back for City
The England star took a touch before rifling his effort with power into the top corner to finally put the derby hosts back on level terms.
However, Marcus Rashford fumed that he was fouled by Kyle Walker in the build-up to Foden’s outrageous effort that wiped out United’s advantage previously handed to them by his equally-brilliant opening goal.
Former United full back and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville praised Foden’s ‘special goal’ and waved away suggestions that Rashford was illegally impeded.
‘Speaking on Sky, Neville said: ‘We’ve seen two special goals. United are asking for a foul on Rashford. Lindelof doesn’t do enough.
‘The power, the accuracy is incredible from Foden’s left boot.
‘I thought it was soft, there’s nothing in that. He’s got to stand up, Marcus Rashford.’
United manager Erik ten Hag was especially annoyed that his star forward hadn’t been given the foul and was subsequently shown a yellow card for his outburst in the dugout.
Red Devils’ supporters were also outraged at the decision to wave play on by referee Andy Madley.
‘Rashford was pulled by Kyle Walker moments before Foden’s goal but no foul was given. Erik ten Hag is also shown a yellow card for complaining!,’ read one comment on X.
Another online post stated: ‘Very dodgy call from the ref in the build up to the first goal. Rashford was clearly fouled plus a card for Walker.’

However, a City critic raged at the suggestions, hitting back: ‘Rashford diving when he’s through on goal says it all about him and this game.
‘He had more hopes of getting Walker sent off than he did about him keeping composure and scoring. Turning point of the game.’
Foden proceeded to score his second goal and double City’s advantage in the 80th-minute before Erling Haaland made it 3-1 in stoppage time.
