SUPER CLASSY After getting sent off for bad behavior on the field, Jude Bellingham did the smart thing of taking selfies with kids.
The 20-year-old English star was on the Real Madrid team that lost to Valencia last night and lost points.
The home team went ahead 2-0 with two quick goals in the first half, but Los Blancos tied the game with two goals from Vinicius Junior.
Bellingham thought he had scored the game-winning goal with an exciting header, but the referee blew the final whistle before it happened.
Real Madrid players got very angry about that in the game, and the former Birmingham star was sent off for his behavior.
But even though he was late, the 2023 Golden Boy still showed what a great person he was by making some kids’ days.
Later, video footage from inside the Mestalla shows Bellingham meeting a group of excited kids who were waiting to meet their hero.
The famous player with 27 caps for England smiled for selfies and signed autographs for everyone who was in the queue.
At the end, there was a picture of four kids, and two of them did his famous celebration with their arms spread wide.
Before leaving the stadium, Bellingham was happy to smile and talk to the excited fans while wearing his Real Madrid tracksuit and backward cap.
The nice act was also well received online.
“By the way, this is great from Jude Bellingham,” the Spanish Football Podcast said.
“Had a victory goal called out. Sent off later.
Still took the time to meet every kid who asked for a picture as we were leaving Mestalla. Good class.”
Someone else said, “Good for him! That’s great to see.”
“He’s a good person,” said a third.
A fourth person said, “Class act.”
One more person typed “Superclass.”
On the game, though, Bellingham’s anger reached a boiling point in the end.
Late in extra time, Real Madrid had a corner kick that they couldn’t score on because the ball was partly cleared before Brahim Diaz picked it up and went towards the corner.
Ref He then blew his whistle to end the game just as Diaz was about to score.
Bellingham rose the highest to nod in, and then he ran off to celebrate before he realized what had happened.
The Real Madrid players got angry at Manzano, and Carlo Ancelotti had to calm down his team and even some of the coaches.
Antonio Rudiger, a former Chelsea defender, was also fired afterward.
