ALAN SHEARER laid into Marcus Rashford in an astonishing 40-second rant on live TV.
But Manchester United fans thought the England legend was “spot on” about their misfit striker.

Shearer was not happy with Rashford’s body language against Nottingham Forest
The Man Utd man cut a frustrated figure in the FA Cup tie
In the FA Cup match against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, Rashford was positioned as Erik ten Hag’s primary striker.
Only five goals have been scored by the Carrington Academy product this season in all competitions.
And at the City Ground, he found it difficult to make an impression against a strong Forest defense.
But one particular moment enraged Shearer, who was on commentary duty for BBC.
A long ball was played into Rashford’s feet.
And the £300,000-a-week ace immediately got closed down by tough Forest centre-back Felipe.
But instead of attempting to hold the ball up, Rashford immediately threw himself to the ground.
Rashford appeared unhappy with his teammates
The referee was not buying it and let play continue.
And Rashford immediately threw his arms up before trudging away from the action with his head faced the ground.
This caused Shearer to embark on a rant that lasted 40 seconds, during which he lambasted Rashford’s effort and body language.
Shearer said: “Come on Marcus, get up, stop waving your arms around.
“You’ve got to do better, too easy that. The ball’s in front of you against the defender, you’ve got to hold it for your teammates.
“I don’t like his body language at times, trying to send a message to fans, ‘it’s not my fault’.
“You as an individual have to take responsibility for your actions on the pitch.
“Get up and get on with it.”
United fans certainly had no sympathy for Rashford, with many agreeing with Shearer’s comments.
One said: “Alan Shearer nails it with Rashford, spot on.”
Another declared: “People are still defending Rashford yet he performs like this. Shearer is right.”
One noted: “Shearer telling the truth about Rashford on national telly.”
Another added: “Rashford’s body language is so poor, glad Shearer picked up on it.”
Shearer said: “I’m getting more frustrated with the lack of forward play when United get into position.
“It’s slow, no intensity in their play. I had a pop at Marcus in the first half.
With Rasmus Hojlund injured, Erik ten Hag was stuck with Rashford as his only strike option. Despite scoring a career-high of 30 goals in all competitions last season, Rashford has netted just five times in the current campaign and has looked short of form and confidence.
Before the game it was rumoured that a defeat could spell the end of the road for Ten Hag, but the Dutchman was bailed out by Casemiro, who nodded home an 89th-minute winner
