Tempers flared between Ben Chilwell and Conor Bradley in the Carabao Cup final
The duo engaged in a grappling match while tussling for the ball
Chilwell shoved Bradley before the Liverpool star did the same back the Blues defender
Team-mates rushed over to split them apart
The Blues player was trying to play the ball, and it seemed like Bradley, 20, and Chilwell, 27, were fighting.
The two superstars gripped each other on the turf before getting to their feet.
Bradley then appeared to shove the Reds player back, but it was Chilwell who shoved him first.
Colleagues from both sides rushed over to diffuse the argument.
When things had subsided a little, referee Chris Kavanagh then showed the yellow cards to each of them.
Both teams’ supporters were incensed by the decision to reserve every player for the fight.
On the social media platform X, which is now known as Twitter, a fan wrote the following: “Chilwell gets a yellow… for Bradley fouling him and pushing him.” Makes sense.
Something like, “Chilwell attacks Bradley & somehow Bradley gets a yellow card,” was said by another.
Harrison Yellow is joking around. A third said, “Chilwell is attempting to provoke him, but he doesn’t react and gets booked for it.
Another said, “Bradley forgot he wasn’t playing rugby, so Chilwell is getting a yellow card.”
Jurgen Klopp eventually hooked Bradley in the 72nd minute.
Before the goals were disallowed for offside, both teams had put the ball in the goal.
The goal by Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk was highly controversial due to an offside by Wataru Endo.
This is a replay of the championship game from 2022, which Liverpool won on penalties after regular and injury time ended in a goalless draw.
Liverpool won the game 1-0 thanks to a header from Virgil van Dijk in extra time.
As a result, Chelsea was left with an unwanted trophy record at Wembley.
