Kylian Mbappe is said to be ready to sign with Arsenal in a “blockbuster” deal to follow in the footsteps of legendary Thierry Henry.

Arsenal received a surprise boost in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe. 

The future of the 25-year-old French striker has been the most hotly discussed topic in the past two summers.

Real Madrid has long been interested in Mbappe and came very close to the French star in the summer of 2022. However, the PSG player “turned around” at the last minute and surprised everyone.

Then, last summer, PSG gave Mbappe an ultimatum: renew or be sold. Previously, the 2018 World Cup champion shook PSG by announcing that he would not renew his contract.

Mbappe ‘s contract with PSG, said to be worth more than £500 million, will expire in June this year but there is a clause that could force him to stay until 2025. However, this depends entirely on whether the 25-year-old striker wants to activate or not.

Real Madrid is still constantly pursuing Mbappe and things will become more tense at the end of this season. While the Bernabeu is considered the striker’s priority destination, some other “big men” are also ready to surprise.

In the Premier League, Liverpool is the most rumored team, but recently according to Independent, Arsenal is the destination that Mbappe is “ready to join”.

The PSG player is said to be attracted by the opportunity to follow in Henry’s footsteps. The former French striker is the Gunners’ all-time top scorer.

However, Independent also added that PSG leadership still expects Mbappe to join Madrid this summer.

However, Real’s proposal is said to be less attractive than it was two years ago when Mbappe himself was still wondering about the future.

Mbappe once rejected a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League worth about 259 million pounds.
