STRONG WINGS: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jude Bellingham express their opinions on the new Adidas Predator

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alessia Russo, and Jude Bellingham were all involved in the design process of the next Adidas Predator boot.

While Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool became an Adidas athlete at the end of last year, Bellingham has been wearing Predators during his incredible rise to fame at Real Madrid.

As per Mahsa Aryan, the category director for football footwear at Adidas, the newest design’s “DNA” is significantly influenced by the legacies of David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane, who played a pivotal role in popularizing the boot during the 1990s and 2000s.

During what Aryan referred to as a “super close” working relationship, both England internationals and Arsenal women’s standout Russo contributed to the design of the Predator 24.

An interview with Aryan conducted by Stats Perform revealed that the reason behind their team’s success throughout the years was their steadfast commitment to their professional players.

Their understanding of the game’s dynamic nature and the requirements that come with it is clearly at a different level than ours. Therefore, we keep our clubs and important players close so that we can always talk about what works and what does not in terms of strategy.

“One thing that has been really fun with the Predator 24 is the amount of communication that has gone into its creation, from the very beginning all the way to the final boot approval.”

“We have been in continual communication with Jude and other executives like Russo, so the women’s game is certainly important as well. Trent, on the other hand, is a new face that we are thrilled to have on board, and we are even more thrilled that he wants to play a pivotal role in the Predator launch.”

However, Aryan highlighted the importance of Zidane in Adidas’s efforts to stay connected to the past.

I had the pleasure of having a lengthy conversation with Zidane about the Predator 24 and its future. I gleaned a great deal of his insight, not only from the standpoint of an iconic player from the past, but also regarding how he currently perceives the game. She continued, “But we have also maintained and stayed connected to our previous icons.”

It was obvious that the shift from one football style to another occurred in the late 90s and early 2000s, when a slew of new, innovative companies entered the football shoe market.

Football has progressed into something much more dynamic, yet it was similar to the previous generation, which was focused on power and certain set pieces. “Those personalities, along with the Predator’s DNA—which surely comes from the world of Zidane and Beckham—have shaped its identity, in my opinion.”

No one can deny that Bellingham would not have been as successful at Madrid without the help of the Predators this year. The midfielder has an impressive record of seventeen goals and six assists in just twenty-four games across all competitions. Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, has set up eight goals for Liverpool with his pinpoint passes.
