After signing a multi-year extension with Nike in 2021, the reigning fans’ Player of the Year reportedly has his own version of the Nike Air Max Pulse in the works, which has since been confirmed thanks to the appearance of official imagery.
Although Rashford’s first official design to be made public will be the newest iteration in the Max Air family, the 25-year-old is already familiar with the Beaverton brand’s air-infused features, having received a bespoke Air Max Plus PE created by LORENZ.OG just a month ago.
Exploring well over a dozen colorways since the model’s inception this past Spring, the Air Max Pulse engages in a tonal set of greyscale hues as the sole unit and upper overlay are split between light and dark shades. Bridging the latter together is a jet-black tongue construction that stretches further with pitch-dark color matches to the inner lining and laces.
The ever-so-faint blue top is claimed by a vectorized collection of swooping lines, much like the AM Plus “Marseille,” while the heel’s swoosh is highlighted by infrequently occurring orange accents. The insoles are saved for the last pop of color, with a blood-red heel bearing the phrase “When you believe in yourself, incredible things can happen” that changes from a neon volt tint.
