Travis Kelce prefers to hang out with his pals nearer to home rather than rush to board an aircraft to visit his fiancée Taylor Swift in Australia.
The 34-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs laughed and played golf virtually with a friend for four hours on Sunday in Parkville, Missouri, which is just 30 miles away from his Kansas home.
The avid golfer maintained a serious expression as he and former Chief tight end Ross Travis brought their clubs to the indoor facility, X-Golf. Later, as seen in photos exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, they were observed departing with takeaway boxes.
At the end of the four-hour session, which would have cost him $500, Kelce climbed behind the wheel of his electric Hummer and loaded up the back of the truck with balls and other gear.

Travis, a 31-year-old friend of Kelce’s, was a teammate in Kansas City from 2015 until his waiver claim in 2017. He also had a brief stint as an Indianapolis Colts player. They frequently appear to be hanging together.
After receiving heat for his “partying” during the Chiefs’ victory parade last week, which resulted in over 30 injuries and one fatality, it seems Kelce has been keen to stick close to home.
Before the catastrophe, the NFL star had triumphantly returned to Kansas City after their victory in Super Bowl LVII.
While Swift, 34, is presently travelling Australia as part of her Eras Tour, people are wondering if Kelce will hurry to Melbourne to see her because their romance has dominated NFL news this season.
He had hinted to listeners of his New Heights podcast, which debuted on Wednesday, that he might be visiting Swift in Australia shortly.
Adding that he is not featured in the ‘guest’ episode of the podcast that airs next week, Kelce gave supporters hope that he would be moving to Sydney to live with his fiancée starting on February 23 and possibly accompanying her to Singapore for her gigs the first week of March.
However, Swift’s boyfriend seems content to take some time off at home rather than undertake the arduous trip to Australia just yet.
The NFL player was spotted driving his Rolls Royce to lunch with a pal on Saturday, the day before the golf outing.
He went to Rye, one of his favourite spots in the city, for less than an hour, leaving the bustling restaurant through the rear entrance with a to-go bag.
Fans have speculated whether Kelce will travel to Australia to support girlfriend Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour, which began on Friday, but so far he appears to be in no rush to make the long journey down under
It appears Kelce has been eager to stay close to home after facing backlash over his ‘partying’ in the wake of last week’s mass shooting at the Chiefs’ victory parade which saw more than 30 injured and one killed

Though he faced criticism for his wild partying, he appeared composed on Sunday after finishing his four-hour virtual golf session.
After being photographed at a “scaled down” party after the mass shooting at the Chiefs celebration parade, he received a flurry of negative comments.
Twenty-two people were taken to the hospital after the shooting with gunshot wounds, and Kelce and Swift each contributed $100,000 to the victims.
It was established by the police that half of the injured were kids.
Only after he faced backlash for partying and smiling for a selfie with a police officer following the fatal shot did he receive the money.
In a photo exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, he was seen grinning on Wednesday at Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar with a number of teammates and their WAGs, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany.
Along with tight end Matt Bushman and his wife Emily, centre Creed Humphrey, punter Tommy Townsend of the Chiefs, and Kelce, they were in a small group at the sports bar.
Investigators said that the incident began as a “dispute” between two youngsters and resulted in the shooting death of local DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan.
In relation to the event, two minors were detained and charged on Friday; however, due to Missouri law, their hearing was held in secret and no further information was disclosed to the public.

The two showed up in Jackson County Family Court to answer to charges pertaining to firearms and resisting arrest.
The teenagers may face adult trials if additional charges are brought against them, according to the authorities.
According to Jackson County Court, if they are found guilty of first-degree murder, they could be executed if they were 16 years old at the time of the crime.
After the event, nine children were hurt. Kelce donated $100,000 to the Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation, a nonprofit that supports “underserved youth strive to become productive citizens.”
Friends of the Reyes family, whose two young girls were injured in the incident, created the GoFundMe campaign.
Swift gave to a fundraiser for Lisa, who was related to the two girls, thus it has already reached its $100,000 goal.
Travis also made time to meet some of the injured youngsters, according to local media, after Mahomes and his wife Brittany paid the two sisters a visit in the hospital.

Witnesses, victims and anybody with mobile footage of the violence are asked to call a special hotline as Kansas City Police and the FBI search for possible suspects.
Twelve people were treated by medical personnel at Children’s Mercy Hospital after the horrific shooting, but all of the patients who were admitted there have been released.
Nine children were among the 23 victims of gunshot wounds, out of the minimum 39 total wounded.
The children should recover fully, according to the hospital, and the sufferers’ ages span from eight to 47.
Reliability and kindness shown to our team members during the last week are greatly appreciated, said spokeswoman Marlene Bentley in a statement.
Three shooting victims are still being treated at University Health; two are doing better, and one is still in serious condition.
Eight patients with gunshot wounds and four more with rally-related injuries were treated by them in all.
