RASMUS HOJLUND broke a Premier League record as his incredible run of form continued against Luton.
Manchester United raced into a 2-0 lead inside seven minutes as the Danish striker netted both goals.
Rasmus Hojlund broke a Premier League record just 37 seconds into the clash against Luton
He has now scored 13 goals in all competitions
He first capitalised on a woeful pass by Amari’i Bell and calmly finished beyond goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski just 37 seconds into the game.
The goal saw Hojlund, 21, smash a Prem record as he became the youngest ever player to score in six consecutive league games.
His run now stretches back to Boxing Day when he finally netted his first domestic goal in a thrilling 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
Hojlund has since kept his scoring boots on with strikes coming against Tottenham, Wolves, West Ham, Villa for a second time and now Luton.
United fans are delighted to see that their £72million man has found his feet at the club.
One said: “I couldn’t be more happier for him. I always knew he would be a superstar.”
Another added: “Ten Hag has made an unbelievable signing.”
A third commented: “All those haters have suddenly disappeared haven’t they.”
Just minutes after breaking the record, the 21-year-old netted again as an Alejandro Garnacho shot deflected in off his chest.
That early double made it look like it would be a comfortable afternoon for United, but it was anything but after that.
Luton´s Kenilworth Stadium – which seats just over 11,000 – was soon raucous again as the hosts responded by dominating the rest of the first half, and captain Carlton Morris pulled one goal back with a close-range header in the 14th.
However, the hosts couldn´t capitalize on a number of chances and hit the crossbar in injury time as United clung on for a win that puts it just three points behind fifth-place Tottenham.
Hojlund failed to score in his first 14 league games for United but now has seven in his last six. The Dane, who turned 21 two weeks ago, became the youngest player to score in six straight Premier League games, breaking Joe Willock´s previous mark.
