Thousands of Swift fans who were unable to secure tickets gathered outside the MCG this weekend, singing and dancing to her classics. Swift has three gigs scheduled for Melbourne.
The MCG has warned spectators to only enter the venue if they have ticketholders, but despite this, the international tendency has earned the term “Taylor-gating.”
The venue informed fans of the prohibitions against drinking and erecting tents, marquees, or barbecues in Yarra Park prior to the concert on February 6. They also stated that there will be “no activations” in the park or live screenings of the performance.
The next weekend, Sydney will experience Swift madness as the pop sensation is scheduled to play four gigs from Friday, February 23 to Monday, February 26.
