‘Turn off the TV’ – Fans Express Concern for Diogo Jota as he Appears ‘Distraught’ While Being Stretchered Off Following Clash with Mac Allister and Rival in Brentford vs Liverpool Match

DIOGO JOTA, who had been trampled by a teammate, appeared distraught as he was carried off on a stretcher at Brentford.

Just before halftime in the 4-1 Premier League victory in West London, the 27-year-old attacker for Liverpool and Alexis Mac Allister collided as they both went in for a challenge on Christian Norgaard, the captain of the Bees.

He might not be able to play in the Carabao Cup final.

The World Cup winner from Argentina unintentionally caught Jota with a stray boot, and Norgaard collapsed heavily into his legs.

In agonising moments, the Portuguese ace had to be carried off because his injuries were too severe for him to continue.

However, Mo Salah, the fit-again Egyptian, was allowed to step in for Jurgen Klopp from the Liverpool bench.

As Jota descended the tube, he appeared to be inconsolable.

Shortly after Curtis Jones hobbled off, Jota suffered an injury just eight days before the Carabao Cup final.

The two were also seen exiting the stadium on crutches; Jones had a protective boot on his left foot, and Jota had a brace on her left knee.

Due to his displeasure with certain Brentford tackles, Klopp has already lost Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alisson, and Thiago, all of whom might miss the Chelsea match at Wembley.

And internet supporters swiftly voiced their dissatisfaction.

“Always battling against it with injuries,” one person remarked. It’s challenging enough to compete in four events with a completely healthy team, let alone when four important players are out!

“Injuries to Jota, Jones, Alisson, Thiago, Alexander-Arnold, and Szoboszlai in the span of two weeks when we’re back in all four competitions within the next few weeks?” another commenter asked.

“Liverpool don’t need any more of this,” a third person said.

One more person said, “DIOGO JOTA OUT INJURED TOOO?!?!?” Maybe I should turn the TV off.

A fifth person retorted, saying, “Jota is hurt now and being carried off. When will injuries become more fortunate for us?

Lastly, a commenter said, “It is really disappointing to see two Liverpool players who have lately had some of their greatest seasons at the club go down with injuries, especially with all the players out already.

In particular, Jota’s didn’t look well. It could be the end of his season.

At the Gtech Community Stadium, Liverpool took the lead after Ryan Gravenberch replaced Jones and Jota discovered his issue.

Jota performed a superb job of flicking a long ball with his head.

Darwin Nunez was able to go through the middle thanks to that.

The Uruguayan shot brilliantly and confidently over Mark Flekken and into the net.

Nevertheless, Nunez was switched out for Cody Gakpo at the half.

Gakpo finished off the scoring in the closing minutes after Mac Allister, Salah, and Ivan Toney scored goals for the home team after the half.
