The team played sharper in the first 45 minutes but they did not take advantage of the opportunity to score. For example, striker Andre Silva missed two good opportunities in this half. Even in the 45th minute, Mikel Merino launched a very strong long-range shot, the ball bounced off the crossbar of the Parisian team’s goal.
In the second half, coach Luis Enrique’s team played much better. In the 58th minute, they scored the opening goal. From a corner kick, Marquinhos headed the ball for Mbappe to score into Real Sociedad’s net.
