Conor Bradley is the January Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month winner for Liverpool.
Today marked the first time the full-back, who came in first in our supporters’ poll, second behind Diogo Jota, and third behind Joe Gomez, had been awarded the honour.
“Thank you, it’s a privilege,” Bradley remarked to Liverpoolfc.com after winning the award at the AXA Training Centre. Needless to say, I’ve had an amazing month, played a couple of great games, and am overjoyed to have won. As I said, it’s a privilege.
Being chosen by the fans’ votes means a little bit extra. Since I have always supported Chelsea, hearing my name called out during the game was undoubtedly the most memorable experience of my life.
“Yeah, but it’s coming from my supporters as well; I really appreciate all of their help.”
The Northern Ireland international made five assists and scored his first goal as a senior in January’s six games played.
It was a magnificent effort that concluded a remarkable performance that earned him Player of the Match in the 4-1 victory over Chelsea at Anfield.
Things don’t get much better for an Academy graduate and lifelong Liverpool supporter, do they?
Honestly, it doesn’t! After responding, the 20-year-old was named the LFC Goal of the Month for January.
“I felt like I was dreaming the entire time I was playing.” Right now, all I want to do is keep working hard, maybe focus on the next game, and see where it leads.
It was quite delusional, and I thought nothing could possibly go wrong.
Following his father’s passing, Bradley took a compassionate leave of absence. Upon rejoining the club, he stated that he hoped to carry on his outstanding play in the following weeks.
Definitely, without a question.
I simply want to carry on from where I left off.
“Hopefully, on Saturday, I can continue with that and see what transpires. My only goal is to continue giving the team my all while playing to the best of my ability.
