Amidst a “unprecedented” spike in rough sleeping, Cllr Robinson recently declared the situation an emergency and requested the government to provide greater support.

Alexander-Arnold stated that he was very concerned about homelessness in an interview with the ECHO. It’s a developing problem, he stated. It’s one that has a significant impact on the citizens of the city as well as those who are near to me, friends, family, and other people I hold in high regard.

“It’s a significant issue in the city, but it’s one that organisations like this are making every effort to address.”

Helping combat homelessness is a “no brainer,” according to Alexander-Arnold, who also said that he had spoken with the Metro Mayor directly to inquire about what he might do.

Alexander-Arnold was chosen Liverpool’s vice-captain last summer. He dismissed the notion that his newfound passion for advocating for social causes in the city was a result of his leadership role.
