”I have been here for six months; I intend to remain here for an extended period of time and accomplish a great deal before committing to a permanent position.”

Dominik Szoboszlai elucidates his goals at Anfield in the second installment of Carlsberg’s Inked series, which delves into the tattoos adorned by Liverpool players and the symbolic significance attributed to them.

The Hungarian captain, who was previously a member of RB Leipzig and won the German Cup twice, is contemplating the addition of a trophy imprint to his collection of tattoos.

Furthermore, Szoboszlai aspires to make an impact during his forthcoming tenure with the Reds that would force him to make a decision regarding the etching of silverware onto his epidermis that is equally as pleasurable.

“A trophy, this is the thing,” he replies when asked by Liverpoolfc.com regarding the possibility of having a tattoo representing his new connection to the club.

“I had been contemplating for quite some time whether or not I should receive the German Cup trophy from my time playing for Leipzig, given that I was present during their historic first-place finish and have won it twice. I am still considering it, but even if I [win] more, I am probably going to do it eventually. We shall observe.

“I require additional time. “I am only here for six months; I hope to remain long enough to accomplish a great deal before doing something permanent.”

The No.8 continues: “Hopefully, this is only the start. I intend to remain here for as long as possible, perform to the best of my ability, and amass as many trophies as possible.

“As we can see at this very moment, the season is currently in its midpoint, which means that it is beginning even earlier. Our objective is to maintain our position at the summit of the table until the conclusion of the league.

Szoboszlai, who has made 26 appearances and scored four goals in his debut season with the club, has been a mainstay of Jürgen Klopp’s starting XI for the majority of April.

“It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world,” says the midfielder. “It is incredible how much the people appreciate the club; they consistently show us support.”

Additionally, there are a few days in which we may not be able to give our all, and even if you give your all, it may not be sufficient.

The majority of Szoboszlai’s tattoos are situated on his left arm and depict recurring motifs such as football and family.

At approximately 15 years of age, he initiated the collection, with the initial entry being the result of a sporting wager against his father, Zsolt.

“I reached an agreement with my father.” It was a football-related wager that I won, allowing me to commission [a tattoo]. “Therefore, it was not a daring one,” he clarifies.

“I had no doubt about it.” Additionally, for the remaining ones [since]. I never expressed regret or a desire to have never committed the act. It is present, in my possession, for some reason; it may also be that I enjoyed it or that it has helped me reach this juncture. “We await the arrival of even more, we hope.”

A quote attributed to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and motivational expressions including “great things take time” and “never give up” are emblazoned on his body tattooing.

They are situated in close proximity to a clock design that symbolizes the birth date of his younger sister and the dates of their parents’ births.
