JADON SANCHO failed to wrestle a penalty off team-mate Niclas Fullkrug despite “begging” his Borussia Dortmund pal for the spot-kick.
The Manchester United loanee, 23, started on Saturday afternoon for the first time since returning to the German giants.

Dortmund came out on top, defeating Koln 4-0 to draw even with fourth-place RB Leipzig in terms of points.
But after Sancho went down in the box to win a penalty, there was an awkward moment in the second half.
Striker Fullkrug, 30, picked up the ball as he prepared to step up from 12 yards out.
But Sancho then went over to the Germany international and attempted to take the ball from him.
According to Sky Sports reporter Patrick Berger, the English winger was shouting “Gimme the Ball, Gimme the Ball”.
It is also claimed he “begged” Fullkrug for the penalty, only to be denied.
Fullkrug dispatched the spot-kick to give Dortmund a 2-0 cushion shortly before the hour mark.
And Sancho, who was replaced eight minutes later, failed to get on the scoresheet as he was made to wait a little longer for the first goal of his second spell.
Sancho was withdrawn in the 66th minute, having completed the most dribbles (four) and won the most fouls (three) of any player in the Bundesliga clash, which was delayed in the first half due to fan protests.
Fullkrug addressed the penalty incident when speaking post-match, as per German football reporter Matt Ford on X. “Of course, [Sancho] wanted to take it,” the former Werder Bremen talisman explained. “He wants his first goal and believe me: it will come. But we have a ranking. Even had Emre [Can] and Marco [Reus] been on, I’d have been up there! It wasn’t my first pen.”
After an outburst with Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag in public, Sancho left Manchester United on loan.
Dortmund is glad to have him back, but his short-term contract does not include an option to buy.
