When New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Junior and Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo met for a Nike launch in Spain, the stars of two very different footballing worlds came together. The American joked on Instagram that the Portuguese should not speak Spanish too quickly, which sent their fans into fits of laughter.

Meeting on the fringes of the US footwear giant’s Mercurial launch, the two traded autographed Nike boots, naturally.

Enjoying his off-season to the utmost, Beckham recently shared photos of himself and his mother, Heather Van Norman, taken from the top of the Eiffel Tower while touring Europe.

Unsurprisingly, Beckham frequently echoed the general consensus when he referred to Ronaldo as the “G.O.A.T.” (Greatest Of All Time).
