Manchester United has returned to the training facility this week in order to get ready for their Saturday Premier League trip to West Ham.
When Erik ten Hag’s team visits David Moyes’ squad the previous weekend, they will be looking to build on their hard-fought draw with Liverpool. The Reds, however, will be cautious while confronting the Iron, a wounded monster.
The Merseyside team defeated the Hammers 5-1 at Anfield on Wednesday night to eliminate them from the Carabao Cup with little fuss. Moyes will definitely be watching his team in the nation’s capital to see how they respond, so United needs to exercise caution.
The boys have been back at Carrington completing their work before heading south. This is what we observed.
Onana’s new regime
During United’s training sessions, it has become customary for the goalkeepers to pursue their own interests while the outfield players concentrate on their areas of weakness. But this strategy does appear out of date given how important playing out of the back is in modern football.
Pictured on the ball during Manchester United practice is Andre Onana.

Ten Hag invited Onana into the outfield training sessions this week, and it looks like he participated in a close-quarters practice with his colleagues after noticing this. Since joining United, the Cameroonian has faced criticism for his distribution; therefore, this shift in training methodology may aim to address this issue.
Van de Beek still involved
Eintracht Frankfurt is anticipated to acquire Van de Beek in January. Ten Hag even said that it could be beneficial for his career to move on a few weeks ago.
However, he showed no signs of being indolent when he took part in the exercise. He was photographed beside the recently back from a one-match suspension Bruno Fernandes.
