The latest on Alexis Mac Allister’s injury: new information on the talented player’s path to recovery

The Liverpool No. 10 has been out since last Wednesday, when he hurt himself in the Premier League win over Sheffield United.

On Thursday, Mac Allister wasn’t played in the Europa League match against Union SG, and he won’t be playing against United at Anfield on Sunday either.

When asked about the midfielder, Klopp said in his press conference before Union SG, “I am obviously not a doctor but they explain to me pretty much every day why he is not ready and it is obviously a bit more tricky than we thought in the first moment.” That was ahead of Union SG.

The stud went through the muscle and into the bone as soon as the other boy hit the ground on his knee. Now we have to wait calmly for the bone to heal and for Macca to be able to deal with the unbearable pain.

Due to the fact that Macca is a very tough man, we need to make sure that no infections happen. It is extremely important.

One of my guys has never had this happen to them before, but here we are. While I hope it doesn’t take too long, I would rather say that it’s day-to-day because then it would look like he might be able to play in the next game even though he isn’t really ready.

It will be interesting to see if he makes a lot of progress in the next three or four days.
