TalkSPORT understands that Manchester United is keeping an eye on Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy in anticipation of a potential deal.
It seems improbable, though, that such a shift would take place in January.
The Guinea forward is one of the most productive players in Europe, therefore the Red Devils are considering his striking possibilities.
Guirassy, a player for Stuttgart, scored an incredible 13 goals in 29 games the previous season and has now scored 18 goals in just 14 games for the German team.
Only Harry Kane, who has 18 goals for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this season, has scored more goals than Guirassy.
For a club of Man United’s caliber, the 27-year-old would also be available for just £17.25 million, which is a relative steal.
With Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial the only healthy center strikers in their senior squad, Erik ten Hag is searching for answers to their offensive problems.
Hojlund is well regarded, but he hasn’t scored in the Premier League for the Red Devils, and after a poor few years, Martial may be traded sooner rather than later.
Man United will need to score goals in order to achieve their aims for this season.
Ten Hag’s team will be attempting to raise their standing from sixth place in the Champions League, where they were eliminated after placing last in their group, in order to secure a participation in the competition the following season.
