Ahead of their Champions League match against Bayern Munich, Manchester United supporters are feeling a little down after watching some training footage.
To have a chance of making it to the round of 16, Erik ten Hag’s team must defeat Bayern Munich at Old Trafford.
United has only managed one victory and four points from their five games on the continent, placing them at the bottom of Group A right now.
Three days after Bournemouth defeated them 3-0, their 11th loss of the season across all competitions, they make their way back to their home ground.
Before the match, Ten Hag will have his players working hard, but after watching a training video, some supporters could start to worry.
In a video that reporter Andy Mitten uploaded, they can be seen practicing a rondo drill that helps players improve their passing, possession, and middle-of-the-field defense techniques.
While several United players are visible in the clip, they are unable to produce more than four passes.
Before such an important match, supporters flocked to social media to voice their concerns after one attempt went horribly wrong.
One commented on X, “Our performances make sense now,” following a season of subpar results on the field.
“Quality in training is… interesting,” a second person said.
“What is this fgs?” inquired a third person.
Another one added, “Huh… only three or four string passes? Now, this makes sense.”
Tuesday night’s match between United and Bayern is simply the first of two crucial games that could ultimately determine their season.
They will advance to the round of 16 with a win over the German powerhouses and a draw in FC Copenhagen’s encounter against Galatasaray.
Five days later, United travels to Liverpool, their Premier League rivals, who are 10 points ahead of them in the standings.
