Mikel Arteta took charge of Arsenal’s final training session ahead of their trip to Birmingham this weekend as they face Aston Villa. Unai Emery’s side are flying at present with Villa sat in third – just four points adrift of the Gunners.
Due to the turmoil caused by the festive fixture schedule, Arsenal has received an extra day to rest and heal before their match against Villa. The third of the Gunners’ eight games in December will be against Emery’s team, and things won’t get any easier for Arteta’s team with a big match against Liverpool coming up.
The Arsenal players have intensified their training as the eagerly awaited matchup with Aston Villa approaches. The Gunners know how important a win is since both teams are fighting for vital league points.

Villa boast an impressive home record in the Premier League, whilst the North Londoners have the best away record in the Premier League this season.
The players have been putting in extra hours on the training ground, honing their skills and tactics to ensure they are fully prepared for the big battle ahead. The team’s focus and determination are evident as they push themselves to the limit, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of success.
Arsenal fans can expect an intense and thrilling encounter as their beloved team gears up for this crucial showdown.
No Gabriel Martinelli
Gabriel Martinelli was not pictured clearly in Arsenal training from the photos released by the club on their website. There has been no inclination that the Brazilian has sustained an injury or potential issue that would see him miss the Villa clash this weekend.
Martinelli was replaced by Leandro Trossard in the 4-3 win against Luton Town earlier this week, but there was no news of an issue from Arteta in his press conference – suggesting the Brazil international remains fit and available.
