HEARTWARMING MOMENT: The family of Luis Diaz got together in Liverpool to celebrate their father’s heartfelt birthday

Sunday was Luis Diaz’s father’s emotional 55th birthday, as Liverpool flew him and his whole family to Merseyside for the holidays.

After the terrible event of Luis Manuel Diaz and wife Cilenis Marulanda’s kidnapping in Colombia, the team has provided all the necessary support for their number seven.

Although Diaz’s mother Marulanda was quickly saved, Diaz Sr. spent over two weeks in the custody of terrorists prior to his release.

After that, he saw his kid again and saw Colombia defeat Brazil 2-1 in Barranquilla, where he scored twice. After that, he and his family took a plane to Liverpool.

The Diaz family will spend Christmas on Merseyside, so the club arranged a private plane for them. Diaz Sr. watched Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Man City from the stands.

Additionally, Diaz’s father turned fifty-five the next day, so the Liverpool winger’s home was filled with festivities.

The celebration, which was planned by Diaz’s wife Gera Ponce, brought Diaz Sr. and Marulanda together with their kids, including the brothers Jesus and Roller as well as sister Anny.

On Instagram, Diaz Sr. said, “I want to thank God for allowing me to celebrate another year of life.”

“My daughter-in-law, my wife, my kids, and my family for allowing me to spend this lovely day [in this manner].”

“May God bless you, my love for you is unwavering.”

Though their exact duration in the UK is unknown, the Diaz family is anticipated to stay in Merseyside through Christmas and probably into New Year’s.

Jurgen Klopp discussed the club’s part in ensuring Diaz Sr., his wife, and their kids returned home safely following Saturday’s stalemate at the Etihad.

He said to Sky Sports, “Now that they are here, he will have more moments to share.”

The fact that the family is united and everything is good makes me glad for them all. The club was very helpful to them; it was great.

“There was nothing nice about that circumstance, with all its negative aspects; the group’s response was excellent.

It’s great that they are here at last. Of course, it’s a nice combo for the family around Christmas.
