Mikel Arteta has been able to welcome back the majority of his international Arsenal stars to London Colney this week. The November international break was the final one of 2023 with the Gunners now facing 10 games before they year is over and to compete in each game Arteta will certainly need the full compliment of his squad.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has returned to training after missing the last three games due to injury.
The Norway international, as per Metro, missed the last few games due to a combination of hip injury and concussion. He also skipped the international break this month to focus on his recovery.
Injuries have caused chaos for Arsenal already this season with Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe all dealing with either numerous issues or a severe muscular problem. Meanwhile, the likes of Ben White, Leandro Trossard, Bukayo Saka and Oleksandr Zinchenko have all suffered mostly minor injuries.
Meanwhile, there is less good news on White after the defender missed the 3-1 win against Burnley, as football.london understands. He is set to be assessed in the days leading up to the game with that further backed up by his absence from the latest set of Arsenal training photos.
Brazilian duo Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have each missed. Having played in South America on Wednesday, the attacking pair, along with Gabriel Magalhaes will likely only partake in one training session before the clash against Brentford on Saturday.
However, Saka, Rice, Kai Havertz and several others who played in Europe have all been spotted back in north London ahead of the Premier League return this weekend.
