The Egyptian was blown away by the model during his private viewing.
The Liverpool striker gushed, “That looks exactly like me, it is like I am looking into the mirror!” after he laid eyes on his portrait in wax. Is it a real set of abs?
“I couldn’t believe it when I stood alongside’me,’ it’s like gazing at my own image in a mirror,” he said later, getting more into it. The audience’s opinions are something I can’t wait to hear.
“The artists at Madame Tussauds London made my first wax figure, and it was an incredible experience.”
Tim Waters, general manager of Madame Tussauds London, explained why Mo Salah should be immortalized with a wax figure by saying, “Mo Salah is one of the game’s greats, arguably the best in the world right now, and incredibly deserving of a Madame Tussauds London figure.”
Since his return to Liverpool four years ago, Salah has flourished in the Premier League.
Impressively, the ex-Chelsea and Roma star scored 137 goals in just 214 games for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
He was instrumental in the 2020 Premier League title run by the Merseyside club, which was their first in 30 years, and he also won two Golden Boot trophies.
To celebrate his goal scoring record at Anfield, he held his arms in the same position he often does after scoring.
He was also wearing the cream suit that appeared on the cover of GQ Middle East magazine.
This coming Sunday, Salah and Klopp will lead Liverpool as they travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United, their bitter rivals.
