in Los Angeles Douglas Costa, a designated player, has left the LA Galaxy, per the team’s announcement today. He has an expiring contract and will not rejoin the team in 2024. The Galaxy have made a Designated Roster spot available for the 2024 season due to Costa’s departure.

In 51 games (36 starts) across all competitions during his two seasons with the LA Galaxy (2022–2023), Costa collected eight goals and twelve assists. In 19 games (15 starts) during the 2023 MLS Regular Season, Costa led the Galaxy with 10 assists and scored three goals.
