In Sunday’s 3-1 win over Montenegro, Dominik Szoboszlai scored twice in the span of two minutes for Hungary.

The Reds midfielder scored twice after the hour to assist his team overcome Slobodan Rubezic’s first goal at Puskas Arena and reverse the tide of the match.

To complete the comeback, Szoboszlai scored high into the net from close range after receiving a pass from Martin Adam. He had previously finished low into the bottom corner of the goal after overcoming multiple defenders into the penalty area.

In extra time, Adam Nagy scored the game-winning goal, and Hungary clinched first place in Group G of the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament.

In another 2026 World Cup qualifier, Egypt beat Sierra Leone 2-0 in Liberia, with Mohamed Salah assisting on both goals.

In the Group A match, the Pharaohs’ Mahmoud Trezeguet scored twice; Salah assisted on his second goal, which came on the hour mark, while Sierra Leone saw two yellow cards.

  

As Group J victors Portugal beat Iceland 2-0 to finish their qualifying campaign for Euro 2024, Diogo Jota did not see any action after coming on as a substitute.
