Most national teams are now competing in critical international matches during the last international break of 2023. As a result, many teams, Real Madrid included, have players away from the club.
For the final two Euro 2024 qualifying games against Gibraltar and Greece, Los Blancos’ Eduardo Camavinga is away with his national squad. A scare in training on Wednesday, however, has cast doubt on his ability to play in those games.
Loic Tanzi claims that Camavinga hurt his knee in a collision with ex-Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele. According to Canal+, he has had to drop out of the session and is undergoing medical testing to ascertain the extent of the problem.
Camavinga’s absence is devastating for Real Madrid, who will be without Aurelien Tchouameni for a few weeks due to a foot injury. They will be crossing their fingers that the problem is not severe.
