Liverpool trail Manchester City by one point in the Premier League heading into the international break.
Jurgen Klopp’s team is closer to their peak after a tough season.
Sunday’s 3-0 win over Brentford extended Liverpool’s 100% home record, and the trip to Manchester City following the international break is tantalizing.
Still, the German is challenging on multiple fronts and vowing to take the Europa League seriously.
With that in mind, here are the newest Liverpool injuries.
Ibrahim Konate
After missing the Sunday triumph, Ibrahima Konate has left France’s squad to play Gibraltar and Greece over the international break.
The French FA stated that Ibrahima Konaté was unable to participate this weekend with Liverpool due to a little muscle strain to his left hamstring in the Europa League on Thursday in Toulouse during the warm-up.
Didier Deschamps documented Ibrahima Konaté’s withdrawal after meeting with French team doctor Franck Le Gall about his two-week ailment.
The return date is unknown.
Gomez Joe
A minor injury sidelined Joe Gomez in the triumph over the Bees.

Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones is becoming more important at Liverpool despite several midfield arrivals this summer.
The Carabao Cup win at Bournemouth left the England U21 international with a “low grade” hamstring injury.
Curtis experienced a minor hamstring issue. He will return after the international break, but not before. Klopp revealed this week that his hamstring is low-grade.
“He was in good shape, red card, lack of rhythm, games, and then he felt. I removed him against Bournemouth and he didn’t feel anything, but in the changing room he did. We had a low-grade scan that kept him out.”
Possible return: Saturday 25 November against. Manchester City.
Ryan Gravenberch
A summer signing A slight knee injury has kept Ryan Gravenberch out of the last two games. He appeared close to playing against Brentford, increasing hopes for the City match.
“Ryan got a little niggle in the knee, nothing major,” Klopp said Wednesday. “He ran today (Wednesday), we hope Brentford has a chance, and he’ll be back after the international break, but it doesn’t help now. That’s why he’s not in Toulouse.
Possible return: Saturday 25 November against. Manchester City.
Andy Robertson
Last month, Scotland defender Andy Robertson had shoulder surgery.
The return date is unknown.
Thiago Alcantara
Thiago’s injuries persist. After hip surgery in the summer, he shouldn’t play until the New Year.
“With Thiago it is slightly different, it’s an ongoing thing and we cannot put any kind of pressure on there as well,” Klopp stated earlier this month.
We anticipate his return around the new year. It’s November, so four more weeks. I think that’s a reasonable possibility, and I’m excited to see him again.
He is a great player. I know you want a weekly update, but that won’t alter anything right now.”
Possible return: January 2024
Stefan Bajcetic
Stefan Bajcetic had a breakthrough season last year but struggled after returning from an adductor injury.
The Reds manager added, “No, we don’t know [when he will return].
“With Stefan, again, one of these things. Everyone saw Stefan’s talent and potential—what a player—but his body wasn’t ready.
“These youngsters are still growing, and we have players with varied skeletons and bodies, which is wonderful, but some are too young. Just put the break on again and wait until it’s alright.
“Liverpool FC has a great player, but we will not use him at any time. We must wait.
“He is here, training, doing his stuff, and we are building his fitness. We know how good he is, so we must assist him obtain a body to exhibit it three times a week.
We’ll get there, which is excellent for the club, but we can’t use him right now.
The return date is unknown.
