Taylor Swift Spotted Wearing New Boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Birthstone on a Necklace During Outing in New York City

A straightforward charm or anything more?

Taylor Swift was spotted out and about in New York City on September 8th, sporting a teardrop-shaped pendant set with an opal, which just so happens to be the ball-playing Libra’s birthstone. This was in response to the persistent allegations that the pop diva is dating NFL player Travis Kelce.

Travis Kelce’s birthstone is opal, and Taylor Swift wore an opal necklace hung from a Foundrae necklace when she went out in New York City.

Forever & Always a Pair Pendant by Foundrae also references the title of a well-known “Fearless” song.

Rumors that Swift and Kelce are “quietly hanging out” started to circulate earlier this month.

Swift accessorized the jewelry with a Louis Vuitton purse, Gucci boots, and a pleated Sandy Liang miniskirt.

Vanity Fair: Travis Kelce finds it “Cool” that everyone is dressing up as him and Taylor Swift for Halloween.

At one of Swift’s summertime Eras Tour dates, Kelce claims to have attempted—but failed—to offer her his phone number.

Swift paired the Sister Hook Heavy Belcher Chain Choker ($6,365) from the same jeweler with Foundrae’s Forever & Always a Pair Pendant ($1,150), which, yep, has the same name as a well-known “Fearless” song. According to Foundrae’s website, the pendant “represents love.”

Every pair appears in our lives at a moment when everything seems to be fitting. According to the product description, “We absorb these pairs of pears, fuse them into our own hearts, and our heart grows as a result.”

“It’s the pairs we decide to hold onto; they become lifelong companions, lovers, family, or selected family members. Indefinitely, continuously, and unrelentingly bound.

On @taylorswiftstyled’s Instagram picture showcasing the star’s jewelry, a perceptive Swiftie remarked, “Kelce is a libra and opal is our birthstone.” Another joked, “I’ve put my makeup on and I’m listening.”

“although, in my opinion, the Kelce’s [sic] initiated the dating myth to advertise their documentary… Another person remarked, “October is the birthstone for opal, and Travis was born in October.”

It’s important to remember that Swift, a Sagittarius, has always had a passion for opals. She has included the iridescent stone into songs and worn several items with them both on and off the red carpet. (From the song “Evermore” called “Ivy,” “Your opal eyes are all I wish to see.”)

“My mother used to take me to TJ Maxx after school to look at the opal jewelry when I was being bullied in school,” she recalled telling Us Weekly in 2016. “I felt better somehow, and I thought opals were so beautiful.” We only glanced at them; we never bought them.

The Messenger revealed earlier this month that Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had been “quietly hanging out” for a few weeks. Despite the fact that neither side’s representatives have addressed the rumors, NFL commentators, Barstool Sports executive Dave Portnoy, and even Travis’ brother Jason have weighed in on the conversation.

Jason said to Tony Gonzalez on “Thursday Night Football” last week, “Everyone has been infatuated with Travis’ love life ever since [Travis’ 2016 dating show] ‘Catching Kelce.”

“I’m not really sure what’s happening there. I’m sure Trav’s enjoying himself. We’ll watch to see what transpires with the person he chooses.”

In an episode of the two-person podcast “New Heights,” Travis disclosed to Jason that he attempted and failed to offer Swift his phone number in July during one of her Eras Tour performances—in the form of a beaded friendship bracelet, no less.
