Sharing in an interview with Arsenal Buzz, the 22-year-old player talked about his intentions before thinking about football.
Bukayo Saka is one of the bright gems honed by the Arsenal youth academy. At the age of 22, the English star has reached the top of the best wingers in the world and has become the hope of revival for the Gunners.
Saka, however, had to overcome numerous obstacles in order to be able to attain such success. The star, who was born in 2001, came from a poor family of immigrants from Nigeria.
The 22-year-old football player claims that his parents would prefer that he pursue education so that he will have greater career options rather than football. Saka was ultimately adamant about pursuing his greatest passion, though.
“My ambition has always been to play football and that has been my main goal from the beginning,” Saka told Arsenal Buzz.
“But my parents just made it clear to me that success in that field was not guaranteed. So I studied hard. I’ve always been interested in learning about business and it’s one of the subjects included in the Diploma high school education which I did best in. So my plan is to start some kind of business. I don’t know what exactly.”
