Agent of Real Madrid forward Eduardo Camavinga has declared his client’s desire to spend “the rest of his life” with the club.
It was reported on Tuesday that the France international had extended his contract with Los Blancos through the 2028-29 season.
Camavinga’s new contract raises his compensation while setting his buyout price at €1bn (£870m).
The 20-year-old joined at Bernabeu from Rennes in August 2021, and he has represented the La Liga team on 114 times, scoring twice and registering five assists in the process.
The midfielder intends to continue his career at the club, according to his agent Jonathan Barnett, and he has been a key contributor again this season, appearing in 15 games across all competitions.
Saying, “It’s great. A dream come true for him, as he is a huge fan of Real Madrid. According to what Barnett shared with El Chiringuito, “he wants to stay in Madrid all his life.”
After accepting the contract, Camavinga said, “Real Madrid is a dream, it’s my life.” Since I was a child I wished to play here and now it has come true. Staying at Real Madrid and playing in the legendary Bernabeu is a great honor for me.
“It was a short journey to 100 games, but when I on the field, I don’t care how many games I’ve played before.
Why am I doing this? These are my loved ones. I get greater motivation to play when I know they’re cheering me on. It’s for the Madridistas and this club that I put on the jersey and play every game.
When asked about the rest of his Real Madrid club, Camavinga singled out fellow midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos for special attention.
We share the same outlook and approach to the game of football. He also mentioned that playing with them was simpler.
Experience levels rise when you share the field with stars like Modric and Kroos. I think my increased technique and composure during the course of my second year can be attributed to my enjoyment of studying them.
Due to Aurelien Tchouameni’s recent injury, Camavinga is likely to get more time in central midfield, where he has also seen action at times this season.
New long-term deals for Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have also been revealed by Real Madrid, with rumors circulating that Federico Valverde and Eder Militao will be next in line.
