The most recent injury updates and team news prior to Manchester United’s Champions League trip to Copenhagen.
Tuesday morning, Marcus Rashford trained with the Manchester United team in preparation for their pivotal Champions League trip to Copenhagen.
The 26-year-old took a serious knock during United’s last practise before hosting Fulham this weekend, and he was ruled out of the game after failing a last-minute fitness test on matchday.
Though it’s unclear if Rashford will be ready to play in Wednesday night’s crucial match in Denmark, the early signs point to a positive outcome as he was spotted doing a short training session with his teammates.
Ten Hag stated of the England international following the victory at Craven Cottage: “Yes, he had some complaints after training.” He traveled with us, but today we heard complaints about how difficult it was for him to start and how risky it would be to start him and lose him over additional games and weeks. We had a lot more crucial games to play, therefore we decided against taking the chance.”
After missing the victory over Fulham due to illness, Victor Lindelof trained among the main group as well, while highly-regarded rookie Kobbie Mainoo was not observed.
In addition to being in the starting lineup for the Manchester derby, Mainoo was on the bench at Craven Cottage over the weekend.
When Ten Hag addresses the media on Tuesday night prior to kickoff, it is anticipated that he will provide more thorough updates on the health of his players.
