‘We are with him’ – Alisson Becker Pays Tribute to Luis Diaz in a Heartfelt Gesture

Alisson Becker paid respect to Luis Diaz after the Liverpool attacker returned to the pitch and scored a stoppage-time level at Luton Town.

Diaz was included in the Reds’ Premier League squad on Sunday despite his ongoing family situation back in his home country.

After being substituted on by Jürgen Klopp, the Colombian scored in the 95th minute to cancel out the home team’s first goal, which had been scored by Tahith Chong.

After the game, goalkeeper Alisson praised his teammate’s resilience in an interview with Sky Sports.

We share his suffering, yet his is on a different plane. Even in the midst of adversity, football has the potential to brighten people’s days. And I suppose Lucho is finding some temporary relief from his hardships through football.

We’re here for him, so he can take as much time as he needs. He showed up, got in shape, and scored a game-winning goal for us in a crucial match. Our support for him is undivided.

The No.1 continued: “Football always surprises, in a good way occasionally. It happened to me when I was going through a tough time, and it happened to other individuals now and in the past.

I believe he was completely dedicated to completing his job and assisting the team in their pursuit of three points when he was on the field. Then he did that for us, too.

We didn’t play a horrible game, but rather one in which we had opportunities to score more goals and ultimately prevail. We wasted our time and earned ourselves a single point by not taking advantage of the opportunities we crafted.
