Darwin Nunez missed an unbelievable opportunity and regrettably caused Liverpool to lose points against rookie Luton Town.

 Liverpool entered the match with Luton in the context that if they only won, they would surpass Tottenham.

 However, facing an opponent in a dangerous area, Liverpool went through a really difficult 90 minutes.  The away team players had an overwhelming position. However, the Luton defense played bravely.  When all of Luton’s defense was defeated, Darwin Nunez kicked the ball into the air in a situation like this at the end of the second half.  Nunez had 9 shots towards the away team’s goal last night, however, none of them turned into goals. Witnessing his teammate’s ungratefulness, Mohamed Salah could only laugh. Meanwhile, coach Jurgen Klopp held his head in regret. That’s the ball that people often say is more difficult to kick out than put the ball in the net. Immediately, Liverpool’s wastefulness came at a high price.  In the 80th minute, Luton had a quick counterattack. Issa Kaboré had a convenient pass for Tahith Chong to run up like an arrow to shoot past goalkeeper Alisson.  Luckily for Liverpool, in the remaining 8 minutes of extra time, they tried to push their team up and promptly equalized to avoid a humiliating defeat. The scorer for The Kop was Luis Diaz with an extremely classy flying header. Drawing 1-1, Liverpool accepted 3rd place on the rankings.
