Darwin Nunez scored a stunning winner to take Liverpool into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium; Earlier, Justin Kluivert had cancelled out Cody Gakpo’s first-half opener.

Following a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, Liverpool advanced to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, where they will face West Ham.

After Harvey Elliott’s 20-yard attempt was spilled by Ionut Radu, Cody Gakpo’s close-range shot gave the Reds a first-half lead.

The Cherries had a nearly full-strength lineup, with only three changes from Saturday’s win over Burnley, but were not at their best until after the interval, when Justin Kluivert’s header from a corner earned them a point.
