Van Dijk’s season has gotten off to a rough start. In the match against Newcastle United, the Dutch midfielder was shown a red card. As soon as he got back on the field, Van Dijk showed why he’s such an important part of Liverpool’s defense.

Van Dijk, of Liverpool, has made the most clearances and interceptions this season, per the team’s statistics. FBref claims that the former Southampton player is in the top 5 percent of midfielders throughout Europe’s top 5 leagues in terms of aerial victory rate.

Luis Diaz – 7.5

Jurgen Klopp sees the Colombian star as a potent destructive drill. Diaz’s ability to stick to the sidelines, his deft dribbling, and his blazing pace all contribute to Liverpool’s ability to break through the opposition’s defense.

Diogo Jota – 7.5

This season, Jota did not have a starting role. The Portuguese superstar, however, never fails to deliver when Jurgen Klopp sends him out onto the field. Jota has scored 6 goals so far this season.

Jota’s hard work and adaptability on the field make him a valuable asset for Jurgen Klopp’s team. Jota’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur suffered a setback after he was sent off.

Ryan Gravenberch – 7.5

The Dutch midfielder has excelled since joining Liverpool, leaving behind a bleak period with Bayern Munich. Four of Liverpool’s goals this season may be traced back to Gravenberch in some way.

His brilliance is widely acknowledged. Gravenberch is demonstrating his talent and making steady progress, as Jurgen Klopp noted of his student.

Andrew Robertson – 8

The Scottish superstar has established himself as Liverpool’s starting left defender for some seasons now. Robertson uses his boundless energy in a cyclic pattern of strikes and defenses. Robertson was going to play the next session, but he hurt his shoulder and had to sit it out.

 Alexis Mac Allister – 8

Mac Allister is a key player at the sixth position. The Argentinean star’s pinpoint passes help link Liverpool’s midfield and attack.

The former Brighton midfielder was aggressive and made his impact in the game on both ends of the field. Mac Allister led all Liverpool players in tackles made and passes made this season.

When it comes to Mac Allister, I couldn’t be happier. When defending, he has numerous standout moments. Allister’s superiority makes counterattacks useless. After Liverpool’s win over Nottingham Forest, Klopp said, “Allister excels in such roles.”

Darwin Nunez – 8

Despite several awkward errors, Nunez has been well praised for his work in developing the shared play. The Uruguayan forward has been directly involved in 10 goals, second only to Mohamed Salah.

 Alisson Becker – 8.5

Liverpool’s defense would be severely hampered without the services of its Brazilian goalkeeper. When Miguel Almiron attempted a volley against Newcastle United, Alisson made a fantastic save. Alisson has been a bright spot for Liverpool this year.

Dominik Szoboszlai – 9

He fulfilled all the requirements of a midfielder. “Szoboszlai has it all: he’s got energy, stamina, strength, speed, he can score goals, and he can connect with his teammates,” stated Gary Gillespie.

Mohamed Salah – 9

The Egyptian forward erupted, becoming Liverpool’s primary source of goals. In all competitions, Salah has scored 10 goals and assisted on 4 others. The data is pretty persuasive.
