The English midfielder scored twice for Real Madrid on Saturday to cap off a thrilling comeback victory in Barcelona.
After Jude Bellingham’s spectacular performance in Saturday’s El Clasico against Barcelona, Real Madrid star Vinicus Junior compared him to Los Blancos icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bellingham scored the game-winning goal for Madrid in the 94th minute after Luka Modric mishandled the ball and it was deflected into his path at 30 yards away. This goal canceled off Ilkay Gundogan’s early goal.
It was the first time in this century that a player scored twice in his debut Clasico, and it helped Real go four points ahead of Barcelona in the LaLiga standings.
After the match, Vinicius heaped admiration on his 20-year-old teammate, who has scored 13 goals in 13 outings for the Spanish side.
“Incredible, he always makes a difference, the fans were used to Cristiano and Jude has now arrived for us,” the Brazilian told reporters at Montjuic.
“We are a lot of young players, we are always together on and off the field. This creates unity and makes us a good team that wants to improve and win a lot of things.”
The 5th of November will find Real Madrid hosting Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabeu.
