Through Metro, centre-back Sergio Ramos made some notable statements after the loss to Arsenal.

Specifically, Ramos said: “We conceded a great goal from Gabriel Jesus and from there I think the whole team tried their best, to continue to show that character. We scored the first goal, We tried to score a second goal, but it didn’t work.

“In a one-on-one figҺt, we had the opportunity to hurt them, knowing that Arsenal are a team that really wants to play football. When they pressed forward, they left a lot of space in defense to take advantage of. Sometimes we noticed, but didn’t take advantage of it well enough.”

Sergio Ramos continued to assert: “I think in the end we faced both Real Madrid and Arsenal. We faced teams that, for me, are currently playing at the top level in Europe.

“I think the team did some things quite well, although in the end football is all about the results, right? And you guys came home in a difficult situation but proud knowing that we gave everything maybe.”
