One of the most paid athletes in the world is Lionel Messi. In addition to his numerous titles and record of 104 goals for the Argentine national team, he is well-known for his prowess on the pitch.

However, if he hadn’t been fully committed to his own squad the entire time, it wouldn’t have mattered.

The 36-year-old posted on Instagram on December 31, 2022, with the initial post in Spanish. This was two weeks after he finally won the World Cup, adding it to his already impressive list of accomplishments. “I’ve always wanted this, and I finally got it.” But if I couldn’t share it with my amazing family—the best family anyone could have—it wouldn’t mean a thing. They will always pick me up when I fall and never allow me to stay down.

Lionel Messi's 3 Kids: Everything to Know

Messi’s pal introduced him to the future bride when he was approximately six years old.The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner was exercising at his home, Rosario, which is 186 miles northwest of Buenos Aires, at Newell’s Old Boys juvenile school. Messi got to know Antonela Roccuzzo, Scaglia’s cousin, one summer when the latter invited Messi to spend the holiday with his family.

Although they didn’t know they had met the One yet, the two kids got along well.

They still had a long way to go: Messi was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficit at the age of ten. He was clearly smaller than his contemporaries, to the point where a juvenile endocrinologist recommended that he have frequent injections of hormones. After two years, his dad’s insurance expired, and they had no idea what to do.

Fortunately for him, in 2000 an Argentine sports agent noticed a tape of the 12-year-old and invited him to try out for FC Barcelona.

He signed a contract with the European team, and they promised to cover his medical expenses. Messi’s mother Celia, father Jorge, elder brothers Matias and Rodrigo, and younger sister Maria-Sol traveled to Spain in 2001. Ultimately, though, Jorge was left to look after the teenager when Celia returned to Argentina with his brothers.

Given that Jorge is still his son’s best friend and agent, let’s assume everything went smoothly.

At Barcelona’s youth academy, La Masia, Messi ultimately found his feet. He scored 38 goals in 31 games during his debut season there as an under-16 player, and the rest is history. But when he was a young child attempting to grow into his enormous aptitude and missing his home, his heart remained in Rosario.

He remained in contact with Roccuzzo, and he returned home in 2005 upon learning of her closest friend’s death in an automobile accident brought on by an intoxicated driver.
