“Cody Gaʙpo Shines Bright and Revals Lif˽ on Mrs. Sysid½, Football Inspirations, and Family Roots in ‘A Day With…'”

We spent the day with the Liverpool forward not long ago to find out how he’s adjusting to his new life since he joined the team in January.

While Gakpo is on his way to training, host Rubi Deschamps shows him around his daily practices. He talks to people at the AXA Training Center up close, and we find out what name one of his coworkers has given him.

He then goes to the Baltic Triangle in the city and talks about how much Reds fans have meant to him and how much he wants to win a title here.

“Whether you play at home or away, you always hear them and feel their support, which is always good,” says the No.18. “That’s why you’re going to take the next step and fight for them too.” It’s all one.”

He also talks about how much he loves his new home: “Yeah, I was on vacation back home in the Netherlands, and at one point I started missing being here because I really like it here.”

“For me, playing for Liverpool is a little different from playing for other clubs because I’ve never won a prize here.”

Gakpo talks about how much he loved football as a child and how his father helped him as he started his professional career in Eindhoven.

“Everyone in the city wanted to be Afellay because he played for PSV and then Barcelona, and we all cheer for PSV where I’m from,” he says.

“Then there was Ronaldo, Messi, and all those other famous people.” All of them were sources of drive.

I learned how to play football a lot from my dad when I first started. He would always show me videos of Maradona and Pele because they were his heroes as a child. They’re all very smart; I met them all in the same way.
