Right on the front page of Sport and Style – a special publication of L’Equipe newspaper, Arsene Wenger surprised fans with his never-before-seen fashion style. Classic and elegant, very suitable for the leader who people still call “Professor”.

Unlike strategists who prefer formality, dress appropriately and trendy like Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola, Arsene Wenger dresses quite casually, sometimes being criticized as ugly. Over the past ten years, fans as well as players at Arsenal have become accustomed to the image of Wenger as a simple, not flashy character.

But on Sport and Style last weekend, no one could criticize the Professor. Wenger appeared in exquisitely designed suits and long coats with scarves, giving him a style that was both classic and elegant. So will this be Wenger’s new style or is it just worn by him to… pose in front of the cameras of Sport and Style?
