Liverpool just defeated Everton in the Merseyside derby. Ashley Young’s red card was the turning point of the match. After the break, Mohamed Salah scored twice to help coach Jurgen Klopp’s team win 2-0.

It is clear that Salah  is always the bright star of the Anfield team. However, praise must be given to Dominik Szoboszlai. This midfielder plays an increasingly important role even though he only joined The Kop at the beginning of the season.The former RB Leipzig star has had a great start to life on Merseyside and his performance against the Goodison Park side was simply exceptional.

 Szoboszlai has played very well since arriving at Anfield.

The Hungarian player is full of energy. In just 45 minutes of the first half, he made 14 passes into the final third of the field. Statman Dave declared that Szoboszlai is the conductor, controlling every move on the ball.

Indeed, throughout the match, the midfielder had 107 touches of the ball. He achieved a pass success rate of up to 93% while 4 of them were passes that opened up opportunities and clearly made a difference for The Kop .
