Twice a season, the Foundation hosts Dream Days, the most recent of which took place this past week and brought together United players fresh off international service with supporters who were suffering from grave and terminal illnesses. Fans from Ireland and the United Kingdom were invited to see first-team training and meet their idols in football.

Ten Hag, Marcus Rashford, Andre Onana, Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes, Jonny Evans, Hannibal Mejbri, Scott McTominay, Sergio Reguilon, Raphael Varane, and Rasmus Hojlund were among the players who made dreams come reality. Wes Brown, a legend of United, welcomed the guests and provided them with goodie bags and pennants in anticipation of the day.

“As part of this unique Dream Day experience, it has been a pleasure to invite our fans to Carrington to watch training and meet the team,” Dream Day manager Ten Hag stated.

“From a personal standpoint, I’ve really enjoyed going.”

“Both the athletes and I have benefited greatly from taking the time to speak with families. Spending time with our followers is quite important, especially when they are going through a difficult moment, thus it is really worthwhile to do even little things to brighten their day.

“Manchester United is all about the connection and atmosphere between the players and the fans, which has been really nice to see.”

During his first season at Old Trafford, Evans participated in multiple Dream Days, so he was thrilled to be able to do it again.

“It’s amazing what the Foundation does,” he exclaimed. The importance of the fans has always been ingrained in us, even in the early years of my stay here. It has always been and always will be a huge part of this club.
