Real Madrid Midfielder Reveals Barcelona Defender as His Closest Friend in the National Team

Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde, a midfielder for the national team, has disclosed that Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo is his best buddy on the squad during a TikTok conversation.

The Real Madrid player believes the Barcelona ace to be his best buddy on the Uruguayan national team, despite the fact that the two play for different clubs and have a nice relationship outside of the Clasico rivalry.

His greatest friend on the national team was Araujo, he claimed.

Valverde’s praise of Araujo isn’t the first time he’s done so. The midfielder stated that the Uruguayan center back is the finest player at Barcelona right now in an interview back in August.

I find Ronald [Araujo] really fascinating. I adore him, and he’s a great buddy besides being Uruguayan.

During the same TikTok conversation, Valverde revealed a number of other surprising facts, such as his pick of Luka Modric as the finest midfielder in the world right now and his identification of Lionel Messi as the most difficult player he has ever had to mark.

Toni Kroos, the German veteran and Valverde’s childhood idol, was the first name out of his mouth when asked to pick the finest player he has played alongside.

The Uruguayan national team player also said that Premier League powerhouses Arsenal were quite interested in signing him.

The 25-year-old then named Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium as the toughest stadium he’s ever played in. Their following and style of play are formidable obstacles.

When asked which he prefers, a win by a comfortable margin or a nail-biting finish, Valverde said, “Comfortable win, we’ve suffered enough.”
